			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Smoking and being over-weight can have its toll on one&#8217;s skin that is sun damaged according to a study of twins.</p>
<p>The findings were revealed by researcher from Case Western Reserve Medical School in Cleveland. Says Dr. Jonette Keri, an assistant professor of dermatology, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine,&#8221; people with same genetic composition are more likely to have the same sort of  sun damage.&#8221; She further says,&#8221; if your mom aged poorly, you will age poorly.&#8221;</p>
<p>Although one cannot run away from ones genes, yet one can keep the skin younger looking longer by making necessary changes in ones&#8217; lifestyles and controlling one&#8217;s environment</p>
<p>The report appears in the December issue of Archives of  Dermatology.</p>
<p>The authors of the study claim that long-term exposure to the sun can bring about physical as well as structural changes to our skin, thus causing much damage to it. The normal ageing of the skin involves  fine wrinkles as well as skin growths. But skin damaged by the sun has coarse wrinkles as well spots of more pigment. It also caused dilated blood vessels on our face.</p>
<p>At the same the researchers also say that  40% of &#8220;age-related changes&#8221; are due to environmental as well as lifestyle factors, and not  a person&#8217;s genetic disposition.</p>
<p>This is evident by the observations made on the twins in the new study who are of the same genetic material.</p>
<p>According to Dr. Jaffrey Salomon, an assistant clinical professor of plastic surgery, Yale University School of Medicine,&#8221; I would  think that twins would each have the same response to sun exposure as their sibling.&#8221; He was not involved of course involved in the new research.</p>
<p>Salomon was, no doubt, surprised to find that skin cancer among the twins rated higher than the general population.</p>
<p>&#8220;This study, with an 8% skin cancer rate in twins, seems high when the general population has an incidence of less than 0.5%.This in of it self would merit further examination to look at other (potential risk) factors, such as prenatal sonograms and low birth weights&#8221;.</p>

It is a type of chronic disorder where the person&#8217;s addiction prevents him to refrain from frequent or excessive intake of alcohol for reasons which could be both physical and psychological. WHO has listed 3 most deadly killer diseases of 20th century in one of its report and Alcoholism is one of them.</p>
<p>Alcohol not only kills but also brings poverty, crime, gives rise to marital problems and eventually broken homes. A large number of traffic accidents are due to drunken drivers.</p>
<p>Alcohol is not a natural product as it is result of decomposition which makes it a member of poison&#8217;s family. Ethyl alcohol is the main ingredient in nearly all type of alcohol which includes beer, wine or distilled liquor. It is a toxic drug which depresses brain and nervous system. Alcohol is not digested thus cannot be called as food. It is absorbed quickly by the blood and travels to every corner of the body affecting every part including brain and LIVER.</p>
<p>According to World Health Organization (WHO): &#8220;Alcoholics are those excessive drinkers whose dependence upon alcohol has attained such a degree that it shows a noticeable mental disturbance or an interference with their bodily and mental health, their interpersonal relations, and their smooth social and economic functioning; or [those] who show the prodromal (warning) signs of such developments.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>How one could you say that a person is alcoholic?</strong><br />
Alcoholics have puffy face with bloodshot eyes, a hoarse voice and a rapid pulse. They are suspicious, irritable and over emotional. Some of the other symptoms for alcoholics are delirium, impaired judgment and disturbance in the sleep pattern.</p>
<p><strong>What are symptoms of Alcoholism?</strong><br />
The chronic alcoholic drinks more and eats less and thus fails to get enough vitamins. The vitamins which are acquired by alcoholics are drained out of his system in the process of burning alcohol in his body. Vitamin deficiency could lead to delirium tremors, convulsions, neuritis, impaired memory and disorder of eyes. Vitamin deficiency of this nature also causes premature graying of hairs. Chronic alcoholism also results in a depletion of minerals in the body particularly magnesium. Lack of magnesium causes tremor of the hands, feet, tongue, convulsions, mental clouding and perspiration.</p>
<p>Excessive drinking imposes strain on the liver. It slowly but steadily destroys its functions and causes cirrhosis of the liver. It could also lead to the disorder in stomach and bowels. Brain damage could not be ruled out for alcoholics as brain cells are most affected by alcohol intake.</p>

<p><strong>Cancer</strong>: The list is as per the guidelines from American cancer society:</p>
<ul>
<li>Change in bowel or bladder habit. Contact doctor if it lasts for more then 2 weeks.</li>
<li>A sore that does not heal.</li>
<li>Unusual bleeding. Blood in urine, coughing up blood, blood in vomit, stool should get immediate medical attention.</li>
<li>Lump or thickening in breast or elsewhere. Most lumps are not cancers but that does not mean that they could be ignored.</li>
<li>Indigestion or difficulty in swallowing that lasts more then a month.</li>
<li>Appearance or size change of wart or mole.</li>
<li>Cough or hoarseness that last more then few weeks should be reported to doctor. Don&#8217;t confuse it with simple cold &amp; cough.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Diabetes</strong>: The symptoms of diabetes are quite vague and could be confused with normalcy. But, if you have any of these symptoms which are not due to other reasons like frequent urination due to intake of large amount of fluid, fatigue due to overwork or stress then you should consult your doctor immediately.</p>

<li>Frequent urination</li>
<li>Unusual increase in appetite</li>
<li>Weight loss with no reasons.</li>

<li>Difficulties in understanding simple sentences or speaking that has developed newly</li>
<li>Intense and sudden unexplainable headache.</li>
<li>Severe loss of balance, dizziness, loss of coordination with other warning signs listed above.</li>
</ul>
<p>If these symptoms occurs and goes away in few minutes, it might be caused due to TIA (transient ischemic attack) which is a strong signal of major attack that might occur soon.</p>

Due to this many people lose opportunities to take part in many activities and try their choice of fields like army, police force, air force, modeling, air hostess and other fields where height is a demanding criteria. People try many different ways like medicine, acupressure treatments etc. to gain height; but these all are very expensive and doubtful ways and there is no 100% assurance whether it will work or not. The best way to gain height is to do some exercises to increase height.</p>
<p>There are many types of exercises like yoga, stretching and free hand exercises to increase height. Physical trainers and health science experts have accepted the fact that exercising is the best to increase height. </p>
<p>The different exercises to increase height are listed below:</p>
<p><b>Yoga:</b><br />
Yoga is a very good form of exercising with no side effects. Few yoga exercises to increase your height are as follows:</p>

<li>Lie down straight on the floor. Let your body rest comfortably. Then slowly stretch your left foot in the direction of right and right foot in the direction of left. Do not stretch too hard. Then bring back your foot to the normal position. Now stretch your right foot towards right and left foot towards left, but follow the same guidelines while releasing.</li>
<li>Lie down on your stomach and chest. Keep your palms on the ground near the hips. Slowly bend your legs from your knees and lift the legs up. Let your thigh remain on the ground to provide you support. Now take your hands backward and try to hold your legs. Try to stretch your legs as much as possible while keeping your torso uplifted. Don’t try to stretch too much. And then relax slowly.</li>

<p><b>Stretching &#038; Free Hand Exercises:</b></p>
<p>These exercises to increase height are very useful. Some of the exercises to increase height are as follows:</p>

<li>Forward Bend: To do this exercise stand straight with legs wide spread. Keep your hands up straight and then bend down forward and touch the floor with your hands, without breaking your knees, then return back to your original position.</li>
<li>Spot Jump: Keep your legs close. Stand on your toe and start jumping with your hand straight up in the air for at least 2 minutes.</li>
<li>Bar Hanging: Hold a bar that is at least 7 feet above the ground level (so that your foot doesn’t touch the ground when you hand on the bar with your arms straight). Now swing your body while hanging to the bar. Make sure you do not swing with the help of your wrist. Keep your spine straight while swinging.</li>
</ul>
<p>There are many more exercises to increase height, but the above-mentioned are few basic and most practiced.</p>
