Healthy Junk Foods

Eating junk food is considered to be bad health. Modern living styles have forced people to consume more junk food, than properly cooked home food. One also finds these junk foods very tasty. You have them while watching T.V. or a football game or during any other interesting activity. There are certain junk foods, which can be taken, as they are considered to be healthy. Which ones are they?

Some Healthy Junk Foods

  • Baked potato chips. They are crisp, and not oily
  • Low fat cheese puffs
  • Low calorie and low sodium pretzels. One likes to eat pretzels and ends up eating too many of them. Low calorie pretzels should be preferred
  • Some types of chocolates are alright. They have antioxidants which are good for the heart
  • Some brands of pop-corn are also good
  • Certain brands of muffins are also alright to have. They contain fiber
  • Snacks that have both protein and whole grain carbohydrates such as wheat crackers topped with almond butter. They prevent over-eating
  • New baked veggie snacks, such as veggie crisps
  • Grilled vegetable or fish sandwich
  • Whole- wheat vegetable rolls. Avoid vegetable puffs
  • Popcorn without butter

Junk food is generally to be avoided, but if they are low in calories, then one can have them. People have no time to eat and they find junk food very convenient to eat as well as tasty. Taking too much of junk food is bad for health. Those who are obese should avoid junk food. Find other substitutes.
