Toning your skin leaves you looking more youthful and rejuvenated. It gets rid of ageing looks, harmful effects from pollution, and other debris found in the atmosphere.
Collagen and epidermal cells, over time begin to sag which result in dry skin and wrinkles. Toning the skin cleans the excess oils off of the skin. Toners cause skin to feel tighter due to the irritation of the skin. The skin is refreshed by toning lotions and help increase the supply of blood to the skin.
Some Great Tips for Skin Toning
- Rub with potato slices over the face and neck. Wash off 15 minutes later. Use this method for oily skin. Add a moisturizer if you have dry skin.
- Moisten a cotton ball with toning lotion and put it on the chin, cheeks, and neck.
- Use mineral water with rose water on dry skin. Avoid eyes and upper cheeks when applying.
- Use cotton balls with astringents.
- Never use a harsh astringents or lotions for combination or dry skin types. Rose water based products are ideal.
- Oily skin should tone using astringent lotions and apply them the oiliest spots.
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon glycerin and 3 tablespoons rose water is best for dry skin.
- A home toner for sensitive skin types: mash some strawberries and leave it on for 5 minutes and wash off thoroughly.
- Vitamin-E is great for dry skin.
- 1 tablespoon chopped mints and 2 tablespoons of cider vinegar mixed in a jar. Place in a cold area and add 300 Milliliters water. Use a cotton swap when applying.
- You can make rose water with 1 tablespoon rose oil, 2.5 liters of purified or mineral water. Keep in a cool place.
These are just some tips for skin toning that can be made at home and will not cost an arm and a leg.
