Buying potions, shampoos, and conditioners can get very expensive and often times a hassle. With all the brands out there claiming to get rid of dandruff, some of them are just a smoke and mirrors ploy. So what’s a girl or guy to do? Why not try home remedies for dandruff care.

One remedy is with vinegar and water applied directly to the scalp. You can use a mixture of:

  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 6 teaspoons water
  • Let sit overnight
  • Repeat in the morning

Over a period of a couple of months the problem should no longer plague you.

Another fix for that itchy and bothersome scalp is lemons and sandalwood. This mixture is composed of:

  • 1 teaspoons Sandalwood Oil
  • 3 teaspoons Lemon Juice
  • Massage Scalp (gently)
  • After massage apply an egg shampoo

After this treatment, you can use Aloe Vera to keep the growth and excess dandruff down. You should allow the Aloe Vera to sit around 15 minutes before washing your hair.

Another addition to the home remedies for dandruff care list is the use of apple cider and vinegar. The mixture contains:

  • 1 part Warm Apple Cider
  • 1 part plain warm water
  • 1 part vinegar

When washing with the apple cider and vinegar mixture, let it set 30-40 minutes. Rinse with normal water. You will have to keep doing this every time you take a shower and try not to worry about the vinegary smell because it will go away in a very short amount of time.
